Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These terms govern your use of Critiqa, the Chrome extension and related services provided by Yaroslav Novykov (sole proprietor). By installing the extension or using our website, you agree to these terms.

1. What Critiqa Does

Critiqa is an AI-powered Chrome extension that audits the visual design of websites. It captures a screenshot and DOM metrics from the page you are viewing, sends them for AI analysis, and returns actionable feedback. The service requires an active subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. One account is for one person. Do not share your account or API access with others. If we detect shared or automated abuse, we may suspend or terminate your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

4. Payments and Pricing

Paid plans are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record. By purchasing a subscription or lifetime license, you agree to Paddle's terms. Prices are listed on our website and may change. If we change pricing, existing subscriptions will not be affected until renewal. We will give at least 14 days notice before any price increase takes effect on renewals.

5. Intellectual Property

Critiqa, including the extension, website, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Yaroslav Novykov. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for its intended purpose. You retain full ownership of the audit results and recommendations generated for your websites.

6. Limitation of Liability

Critiqa provides design feedback powered by AI. The recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees. We are not liable for any design decisions you make based on our analysis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Critiqa's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Critiqa available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The extension depends on third-party APIs (including AI providers) that may experience downtime. We are not liable for temporary unavailability.

8. Termination

You can stop using Critiqa at any time by uninstalling the extension and canceling your subscription. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any unused subscription period.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the business operator is registered. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, in the courts of that jurisdiction.
